The Società Interconsorziale Romagnola (S.I.R.) produced chemical fertilizers for agriculture. It was created in the darsena district during the twenties, and it had a strong influence in the fifties. The “Sigarone”, once a S.I.R. warehouse, is a very important example of industrial architecture.
