The Train Station

The transports revolution in Ravenna

On August 23th 1863 the Train Station of Ravenna was inaugurated. The structure was meant to represent a link between the city and the port and to increase the trade between the Po Valley area and the towns on the Adriatic Sea. The building of the railway was an important event which changed the city layout.
